We were approached by the hotel who were operating a ticketed car park system. They were concerned about revenue loss due to abuse of the parking system. It was identified that it was cheaper to take a gym membership at the hotel with free parking, than pay for airport parking for regular airport users.
Cerberus Software Solutions created an ANPR system bespoke for the hotel. This allowed them to control visitor parking in different ways. Gym users had to register their vehicles on the parking system and were given 3 hours of free parking, visitors to events could be given special parking rates and hotel guests were able to pay to park either at the front desk or the pay machines. The hotel did not need to produce exit tickets which saves time, increases efficiency and is more environmentally friendly.
